What the numbers mean for buyers

Among 29 USD CRM products with a published starting list price, the median starting price is $23/month (range $0–$249).

Where monthly per-seat rules exist (n=18), the median cheapest paid seat is $24.50/user/month billed monthly.

28.6% of USD CRM products in this sample advertise a free plan. That does not mean the free tier covers your required features — check plan limits on each product page.

For the 15 products with both monthly and annual per-seat list prices on the same plan, the median list-price discount for annual billing is 25%.

Methodology

Data collection

Vendor list pricing is stored in SoftwareGlimpse research enrichment records during product research, with source provenance and verification timestamps where available.

Sample definition

Primary CRM products in the live catalogue (37). Price statistics use the USD subset with structured plans (35).

Calculation logic

  • Universe: products with primaryCategorySlug === "crm" from the SoftwareGlimpse catalogue (published).
  • Pricing source: research enrichment pricing resolved per product (vendor list prices), not affiliate commissions.
  • Currency filter for published price statistics: USD only (EUR products counted in catalogue size but excluded from USD medians).
  • Starting price: pricing.startingPriceMonthly when present.
  • Entry monthly seat: cheapest non-free per-seat rule with interval=month.
  • Annual discount %: for plans with both month and year per-seat rules, (monthly − annual-as-monthly-equivalent) / monthly × 100; product uses its largest such discount.
  • Free plan: hasFreePlan or any plan with isFree.
  • Medians use the standard middle value of the sorted sample (average of two middle values for even n).

Limitations

  • List prices only — negotiated enterprise quotes are not included.
  • Contact-sales / custom plans do not enter seat medians.
  • Annual discount requires both monthly and annual seat rules on the same plan; products without that pair are excluded from the discount median.
  • AI feature premiums are not published — capability flags are present but not reliably paired to priced SKUs.
  • Company-size suitability is editorial fit metadata, not a pricing dimension in this report.
  • Integrations coverage is too sparse for market penetration claims.
